Drain Repairs & Installations

Root Damage

ABEL Drainage & Groundworks often sees damage from trees and bushes on pipework in properties and businesses across Dunoon and Scotland.
Roots bury down and work their way into the ground, which can affect your drainage.

Crushing or Displacement

Displacements are also a common theme and in some cases, high pressure jetting can cause the roots to be cut away, but not completely severed.
Old Victorian pipework is extremely susceptible to overloading or crushing. If this is the case, our engineers can carry out a CCTV inspection to discover the extent of the damage.
We can then excavate the necessary area to remove the damaged pipes and replace with newer, uPVC pipework.

Replacement

The pipework we install is surrounded in pea gravel. This is to act as a buffer so that your system is not compressed by roots or other external forces.
All new installations are completed in this manner to adhere to part H of building regulations.
Our engineers are fully up to date with the necessary legislation to ensure that your pipework is safe.
